Hanoi, Vietnam to Singapore, Singapore!

One of the best parts about our honeymoon/work trip is that we are meeting up with a few friends and family. Aimee, Chris, and Edith(Laura's mom). One of the main reasons we met up in Singapore was that Laura's family friend, Toshimi, now works here for JP Morgan Chase. So, this is a super duper great reason to visit because Laura doesn't get to see her a lot...

Aimee with her Nixon pose... or was it her hippie pose?

Considering I'm so into toys and art, its a damn shame that I will be in Laos while the convention is going on... Perhaps next year?

One of the neat-est things about the mall that surrounds our hotel is that there is this water fountain. The streams of water are all timed and aimed at the center so they cancel each other out. I think this reminds me a little of the Irvine Spectrum where mom's come to the water fountains and let their kids play in the water... weird parallellism...

For dinner, we were meeting up with one of Toshimi's friends, Takasan. He was en-route through Singapore, so we met up for drinks and dim sum.

The Abercrombie & Fitch kids wait for a table... while being extremely fashionable...

Its odd to have a wait for a restaurant, but apparently, this place is gooooooooooood. We waited about 30 minutes while the people after us had a wait of about 45 minutes.

Chris posing...

Tiger Beer!

Takasan and Toshimi cheering to the camera! Kampai! And why are you all looking at Edith's camera? hmm... maybe that's what I get for sneaking a shot in front of Edith!

Our meal consisted of peanuts, steamed dumplings, bean sprouts with bean sauce, sauteed spinach, and a fried pizza version of the dumplings... Also, we had gyoza come out after this along with another order of steamed dumplings and spinach. I think we were hungry... or maybe it was the additional 8 Tiger beers we ordered?

Laura and a chip off a glacier. Notice how it doesnt' even touch the Coca-Cola? lovely...

iPhone frenzy is everywhere!

Funny how both of them resemble Gram...

Edith showcasing the tea shop...

Aimee and Laura showcasing the tea shop too...

This goes out for Randy who LOVES Yoshinoya and Asian women! Beioupp!!

Mochi Ice Cream Heaven!!!

I never realized that Chris was that much smaller than me. I guess if we get caught in a snow storm, he'd be the first one we eat... JK! You rock Chris... Happy Birthday, by the way! (august 3rd)

While in the MRT (subway) mall, we found Obama giving us the peace sign...
